Visiting after 26 years moved. We’re in heaven. Riesters is a landmark that hopefully will never leave. Greatest bakery and the servers behind counter amazing. Anyone visiting Long Island this is a MUST stop. Grab some rolls, pastries sit down and grab a cake for friends.

Rainbow cookies are very good. I really enjoyed the texture of these cookies. A little too sweet though. I'll be back for sure. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

This is no cheap ,plastic, boring franchise bakery. As soon as you enter, you’re aware that this will be an experience for your Eyes pallet, heart and soul. There’s no shortage of anything here, including Excellent, warm personable service. My son and I drove three towns for a good German bakery because my town no longer has one my town has an Italian bakery Everybody seems to know, but all of the food taste the same. I asked one of the girls what is that taste that is in everything she said we put A lot of almond extract in everything we sell. You won’t find that here. Everything has a fresh deep flavor of the ingredients not the same ingredient in everything That overpowers each flavor. We will absolutely be back for every occasion give it a try sit in the booth, have a cup of coffee and enjoy your time there I recommend it highly

Best. Cake. Ever!! I came to Reisterer’s bakery a week ago because I wanted a really special custom cake for one of my closest friends. I decided to come here because I saw some of their custom cakes, and I felt like they could really capture my vision for the cake. I visited the store in person to see if I could talk about the cake with someone. I met Dalia, an incredible employee who guided me through the whole emailing process on the cake. I sent them inspiration photos, and I included details about the flavor of the cake along with text I wanted to get on the cake. To say the least, my expectations were blown through the roof!! The communication was incredible, they frequently kept in touch and gave me updates on the cake, and informed me on anything I needed to send them to help. (Such as photos) They were so patient with me, and I ended up getting the cake a few minutes before closing time because I was busy with work, but they were so patient and understanding. I truly appreciated that. The cake was so beautiful and tasty, too! I think anyone who lives in LI, or even in NYC should give these guys a try someday. It’s worth it. I will be coming back very soon.
